Eco-design Requirements for Televisions

Eco-design Requirements for Household Refrigerating Appliances

The Eco-design requirements for Household Refrigerating Appliances (Commission Regulation (EC) No 643/2009) came into effect on July 1st 2010. More information regarding this Regulation can be found on the Legislation page.

Eco-design Requirements for External Power Supplies

The Eco-design requirements for External Power Supplies (Commission Regulation (EC) No 278/2009) were brought into effect on April 27th 2010. This regulation establishes eco-design requirements related to electric power consumption in no-load condition and average active efficiency of external power supplies. Eco-design Requirements for Tertiary Lighting

The Eco-design requirements for Tertiary Lighting (Commission Regulation (EC) No 245/2009) were brought into effect on April 13th 2010. This regulation establishes eco-design requirements for the placing on the market of fluorescent lamps without integrated ballast, of high intensity discharge lamps, and of ballasts and luminaires able to operate such lamps as defined in Article 2, even when they are integrated into other energy-using products. This Regulation also provides indicative benchmarks for products intended for use in office lighting and public street lighting. Saving More Energy through Compliance

The National Measurement Office will be supporting the international conference, organised by the IEA Implementing Agreement on Efficient Electrical End-use Equipment (4E) and in association with CLASP.

Improving compliance in energy efficiency programmes for appliances and equipment is highly topical and this conference will provide a unique opportunity to share experiences amongst policy makers, programme managers, industry participants and others involved.
